Anastomotic leakage is a major clinical problem after gastro-intestinal surgery. There are many types of anastomoses. For each type, presentation and severity can vary widely.

 

Clinicians have many ways to treat anastomotic leakage. However, high quality data on the effectiveness of different treatments is lacking.

The TENTACLE studies investigate the effectiveness of  treatments for different leaks. Our mission is to perform large collaborative, multi-national studies with real world data, which can guide clinical decision making.
